Kleine Cowboy...

De voorbije weken heb ik toch een paar dingen stiekem afgewerkt -- mijn paarse Trekking XXL Jaywalkers (nu in de was, foto's volgen) en dit schattige cowboyhoedje voor Klein Dreumpje!

During the past, busy weeks, I did manage to finish a few things -- my purple Trekking XXL Jaywalkers (now in the laundry, pictures will follow) and this cute cowboy hat for my Little Toddler Man!

Het patroon is Child's Cowboy Hat -- erg leuk, en het hoedje was in een dag klaar. Het garen is Samos Novita, anderhalf bolletje van de erg zachte en prettige katoen-acrylmengeling die mijn Secret Pal me stuurde.

The pattern is Child's Cowboy Hat -- fun to crochet, and ready in a single day (a few hours, actually). The yarn is Samos Novita; I used one and a half skein of the lovely cotton-acryl mix that my Secret Pal sent me. Thanks, Pal, I hope you like what I did with it!

Zoonlief ziet er schat-tig uit met zijn zonnehoedje, en het is erg prettig voor de zomer -- luchtig, en toch met een brede rand die de zon tegenhoudt. Ik wil er nog een lint, een vilten sheriffster en touwtjes onder de kin aan toevoegen.

My boy, in any case, looks über cute with it. Great hat for the Summer -- airy and with a large brim to block the sun from his vulnerable toddler skin. I still intend to add a decorative ribbon, a felted sheriff star and ropes to secure the hat under his chin, as my son is a pretty wriggly fellow :-)
